Investment Analyst/ Senior Investment Analyst

Company Overview

Catcha Digital Berhad is a Malaysia-listed investment holding company focused on building a portfolio of market-leading companies across digital media, B2B expo, software, and technology-enabled sectors.

Catcha Digital is primarily backed by its major shareholder, Catcha Group, one of Southeast Asia’s most established internet groups, founded in 1999. Catcha Group has been building and investing in disruptive technology companies globally for more than 25 years, with a particular focus on Southeast Asia and Australia. The team brings together over 50 years of combined entrepreneurial experience and has taken 6 portfolio companies public across the Australian Securities Exchange, New York Stock Exchange, and Bursa Malaysia, while completing well over 90 corporate transactions.

Today, Catcha Digital is building itself as a permanent home for market-leading companies in digital media and technology. The Group focuses on acquiring and supporting high-quality businesses with strong market positions, sustainable earnings, capable management teams, and clear opportunities for long-term growth.

Catcha Digital has expanded beyond its original digital media foundation into additional growth pillars including B2B expo and software. On a CY2025 pro forma basis, the Group has built a platform with approximately RM122 million in revenue and RM26 million in EBITDA, supported by a disciplined acquisition pipeline and reinvestment-led growth model.

About the Role

Catcha Digital Berhad is looking for an Investment Analyst / Senior Investment Analyst to join our lean investment team and support our next phase of acquisition-led growth across digital media, B2B expo, software, and technology-enabled businesses.

This is a hands-on investment role for someone who wants direct exposure to the full acquisition lifecycle, from sourcing to due diligence, transaction execution, closing, and post-acquisition follow-up. You will help build proprietary deal pipelines, engage with founders and advisors, evaluate businesses, prepare investment materials, and support Catcha Digital’s acquisition-led growth strategy.

Unlike a purely transactional investment role, Catcha Digital’s strategy is built around being a long-term, permanent home for market-leading companies. We look for strong businesses with sustainable earnings, committed management teams, and the ability to grow with disciplined capital allocation. You will work closely with senior investment professionals, operating leaders, and portfolio company management teams to evaluate and execute acquisition opportunities that can compound value over the long term.

Responsibilities

  1. Conduct sector mapping and company research to identify attractive acquisition opportunities across target sectors.
  2. Support outreach and engagement with founders, business owners, advisors, intermediaries, and other deal sources.
  3. Evaluate potential acquisition targets through financial, commercial, strategic, and operational analysis.
  4. Build financial models, valuation analyses, return assessments, and investment case materials.
  5. Prepare investment memos, business summaries, board / investment committee materials, and other internal presentations.
  6. Coordinate and support due diligence workstreams with internal teams and external advisors.
  7. Support transaction execution, including deal structuring, documentation review, approval processes, signing, closing, and post-close handover.
  8. Assist with post-acquisition integration, portfolio monitoring, and value creation efforts where necessary.
  9. Support broader corporate workstreams where required, including investor relations, fundraising, reporting, compliance, and shareholder / board materials.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, corporate development, transaction advisory, or strategy consulting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Law, or a related discipline.
  • CFA, ACCA, ICAEW, or other relevant professional qualification is a plus, but not required.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong financial modelling, valuation, accounting, and financial statement analysis skills.
  • AI-savvy, with practical experience using AI / LLM tools for research, analysis, synthesis, workflow automation, or productivity enhancement.
  • Highly organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams, deadlines, and live opportunities at the same time.
  • Intellectually curious, commercially minded, self-directed, and comfortable working in a lean, fast-moving investment team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with strong command of written and verbal English. Proficiency in Mandarin is advantageous.

If you are a self-motivated individual interested in joining a dynamic and fast-growing company, we would love to hear from you. Please submit your resume to [email protected].
